Organic Growing

Organic produce cost more, so it must be better for us, right? Unfortunately that may not be the case. An organic label means that foods must meet certain production standards. For produce, growers only use synthetic chemicals as a last resort; that said, there is still very little research as to the long-term effects of the organic pesticides that are derived from natural sources. The best way to ensure you are eating fruits and vegetables that are free of harmful chemicals is to grow them yourself!
